Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the United States and is not considered an official state; however, the island of Puerto Rico is equally beautiful as it is unique with an amazing blend of both American and Spanish cultures, perfectly represented in the people, food, culture, and traditions of the island. With a population of just over 3.2 million people, Puerto Rico covers an area of roughly 3,515 square miles and remains to this day a great tourist attraction bringing tens of thousands of people to the island each year. The island is located in the Greater Antilles, encompassed by the Caribbean Sea, and is bordered by islands such as Hispaniola, Cuba, and Jamaica.
